Planes, Trains and Automobiles: Operating While Stoned

08.08.14

ptauto1The circus was in town (Washington DC) July 31, 2014. The House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Government Operations held a hearing entitled, “Planes, Trains and Automobiles: Operating While Stoned,” chaired by Rep. John Mica, R-Fla., and starring Rep Gerry Connolly, D-Va.

The committee didn’t get the answers they wanted from the capable testifiers, in large part because they asked the wrong questions. Both congressmen persist in the common belief that marijuana is like … READ MORE

Some castigated Wolk for demanding justification for more than 6 marijuana plants per patient. Others are relieved to see what appears to be some … READ MORE

Colorado’s Drug Promotion Plan

03.17.14

colorado-legislatureSB 14-155 was introduced to the Colorado State Legislature March 10th.

It seeks to use state funds to further “research” to promote the beneficial effects of marijuana.

This bill should not even see the light of day for at least the following reasons:

  1. Section 1(b) of the legislation is not true. Coloradans will use marijuana regardless of the potential therapeutic effects of the weed – or its adverse consequences. They’ve already proven that.
